In the reading A Day Without Feminism, there were a couple of things that bothered me or rather surprised me were things like if a girl “gets herself pregnant,” she could lose her membersip in the National Honors Society, and that it’s still in affect today. I have never in my lfe heard of such a thing but if that is true, then that needs to be re-reviewed and seriously thought about. And my question is, Are the guys treated with the same dicepline? Because a girl can not simply GET herself pregnant, she needs a little help from someone of the male species.
Another thing that bothered me in this reading is the fact that someone would actually fire someone for getting married. You fire a stewardess for getting married. If she was going around sleeping with every tom dick and harry then she would be a slut. But because she got MARRIED she gets fired, CONFUSED? cause I sure am.
I don’t understand all these punishments women get thrown upon them like men themselves have no part in them. Women getting thrown out of gruops and work for being in acts that men are also apart of.
